Section 1: Picks of the Day
Pick of the Day: #7 High Elation (Race 5) Is paying: $2.70; Should be paying: $2.20
Edge: First race pushed too late from the pack but was a game second. Recent trial placing at course indicates fitness and race readiness. Strong signs of stable confidence. All being even, strong indications she’s the pick of the race but this time gets the gun barrier draw as well.
Value Pick of the Day: #4 Little Bit of Love (Race 6) Is paying: $4.60; Should be paying: $3.50
Edge: Last three runs all at G2 or Open grade. This is a very consistent horse who has won nearly half of his races. Racing pattern indicates the drop back in distance should help here, and should be approaching peak fitness.

Race 1 - Gartshore Construction MDN 1600m
Pick: #4 Atavus Is paying: $6.00; Should be paying: $5.00

Race 2 - Laser Electrical MDN 1400m
Pick: #3 Little Thief Is paying: $5.50; Should be paying: $5.00
Edge: Form line through his prep ties in with multiple good performers. Should go well if it jumps nicely.
Value Pick: #1 Forever Young Is paying: $6.50; Should be paying: $5.50
Edge: Recent form sequence indicates steady improvement - has been impeded and lost whip in recent races as well.
Race 3 - Aerocool Developments 1400m
Pick: #5 Penman Is paying: $2.45; Should be paying: $2.20
Edge: One gold and two silvers in career so far - great record despite bad luck with runs. Has a great draw finally and times put him on par with favourite.
Value Pick: #3 Cognoscenti Is paying: $8.50; Should be paying: $7.00
Edge: Has been very consistent this prep, and times show improvement pattern.
Race 4 - J.A.Russell Ltd MDN 2100m

Edge: Consistent type who is proven at the distance and has raced against good winners.

Race 5 - Laser Electrical MT MDN 1200m
Pick: Refer Section 1.
Value Pick: #4 Basel Warrior Is paying: $9.00; Should be paying: $7.50

Race 7 - Super Liquor Greerton 1400m
Pick: #1 Tanganyika Is paying: $3.30; Should be paying: $2.80
Edge: Over career has won a third of its races, and been on podium the other third. Has been up for every race this prep - with its three non-victories all close to the winner, and its worse race impeded in straight.
Value Pick: #6 Sakos paying: $8.00; Should be paying: $6.50
Edge: Has hit form, and handled rise to BM75 well last start despite messiness at start of race.
Race 8 - Social Club Greerton 1400m
Pick: #5 Lady of Court Is paying: $3.80; Should be paying: $3.20
Edge: Two seconds at last starts, and seems to have found some rhythm after some patchiness earlier in prep. Second race with Grylls.
Value Pick: #10 Tears of Victory Is paying: $10.00; Should be paying: $8.00
Edge: Market reading last start ninth as worse than it was. Other runs this prep fought gamely after being caught wide. Claim may make a difference as well.
